NO! The kids will enjoy the party if they are currently doing martial arts or not.
NO. We always start with the “focus” game, as this gets the kids ready to learn. But, come on! It’s a PARTY! They will learn some moves, they will even earn a martial arts band if they can do the moves. Then we go straight into games! It is a great introduction to the martial arts, and the life skills that we teach at kicx. But the kids LOVE the “martial art” games we play. Not musical chairs, musical pads!! And building strong family units is important to us at Kicx Academy for our Gloucester community.
Comfortable clothes you can do sport in! Not really suitable to practice kicks in a skirt.😳
You will find Kicx Academy in Gloucester are masters at allowing children to have the best time in whatever they wear. No need for karate uniforms.
Yes! One of the great things about this karate party, is that everyone can take part. The rules are very clear, and fun. By the way, martial arts is great for kids with ADHD. We find all our students improve in their focus, self control, discipline and social skills. But the best part is…. They don’t even realise that is what our highly trained Kids Martial Arts Instructors are actually doing. They just think they are having fun!

Not at all. You will find that karate parties are PERFECT for kids who are not good at sport. Most of the time they will be playing games. Just a little martial arts in the party. But if they want to start training, kids martial arts classes really are an individual after school activity, that they do in a group.
The journey from white belt to black belt is different for each student. But what is the same…. They improve co-ordination, balance, motor skills, focus and discipline. Plus, they makes lots of great friends!
